Why we built this
The best tool sites on the internet all share the same problem: they look outdated, load slowly, and surround every useful function with enough ads and dark patterns to make you question whether finding the tool was worth the effort.
We built EvryTools because we kept Googling the same things — unit conversions, text formatters, JSON prettifiers, quick calculators — and the results were consistently worse than they should be. Slow, cluttered, unresponsive on mobile, and usually asking you to create an account to do something that could be done in two seconds.
The core idea is simple: a modern, well-designed utility library that works instantly, looks like it was built this decade, and respects the people using it. Every tool you've ever searched for, in one place, without the baggage.
What we stand for
Free forever
Every tool is completely free to use. No premium tier, no paywalls, no subscription, no trial period that expires. The whole point is to be there when you need something done.
Private by design
Your files, text, and data never leave your device. All processing happens locally in your browser using standard web APIs. Nothing is ever uploaded to a server.
Zero friction
No login. No sign-up. No email required. Open a tool, use it, done. Every tool is ready the moment the page loads — no spinners, no loading states, no waiting.
Built properly
Most tool sites prioritise quantity over quality. We build each tool to the standard of a properly designed software product — responsive, accessible, and tested across browsers.
How it works
Every tool on EvryTools runs entirely in your web browser using client-side JavaScript and standard Web APIs. There is no backend server processing your inputs.
Image tools use the Canvas API and FileReader API. PDF tools use pdf-lib, a client-side JavaScript library. Cryptographic tools use the browser's built-in Web Crypto API. Text tools use pure JavaScript string manipulation. Nothing leaves the tab.
This architecture has a meaningful privacy benefit — we physically cannot see your files, text, or data, because they never reach us — but it also means the tools are faster and work completely offline once the page has loaded.
Your data never leaves your device
Files you drop into the image compressor, PDFs you merge, text you paste into any tool — none of it is transmitted to a server. It's processed in memory by your browser, then discarded when you close the tab.

What we're building toward
The current collection covers the most-searched everyday utilities across text, development, images, conversions, PDFs, finance, fitness, and productivity. But the goal is much larger: 200+ tools that collectively cover everything people routinely search for and can't find a clean, reliable answer to.
On the roadmap: an audio engine (conversion, trimming), an AI-powered background remover running locally in the browser via WebAssembly, additional finance and productivity calculators, and deeper coverage of developer utilities. All of it will follow the same principles — free, private, fast, and designed to actually work well.
