It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way.

About Reading speed test

The Reading Speed Test measures how many words per minute you read by displaying a fixed passage and timing how long it takes you to finish. When you click Done, it calculates your reading speed in words per minute and compares it to the average adult reading speed of approximately 238 WPM. Race mode puts two readers on the same screen simultaneously, each with their own Done button and timer — challenge a friend to see who reads faster. Reading speed is trainable; regular practice with timed passages is one of the most effective methods for improving it.
