About Salary & tax calculator

The Salary and Tax Calculator estimates your net take-home pay after income tax and social contributions. UK mode uses the 2024/25 PAYE bands (personal allowance £12,570; basic rate 20% to £50,270; higher rate 40% to £125,140; additional rate 45% above that) and Class 1 National Insurance (8% between £12,570 and £50,270; 2% above). US mode applies 2024 federal income tax brackets for a single filer as an estimate — state taxes are not included. The result shows each deduction as a separate line so you can see exactly where the money goes.
