About Text to speech

The Text to Speech tool uses the Web Speech API — built into all modern browsers — to read aloud any text you paste. You can select from the available voices on your device (including regional accents and multiple languages), adjust reading speed from 0.5× to 2×, and control pitch. Everything runs locally via your browser and operating system — no server call is made. It is useful for proofreading (listening reveals errors the eye misses), accessibility testing, and quickly hearing how copy sounds when read aloud.
